Skilled Nursing Facility
Faced with the economic reality of an existing facility that couldn't be rebuilt from the ground up, MediLodge of Sterling Heights focused their efforts on taking the first step in adopting the Eden Alternative for their physical environment.
Major renovations included the conversion of three 4-bed wards to become modern, semi-private resident rooms. Privacy of the resident, reconfigurable furniture layouts and dining options were of great concern. Personalization of spaces is encouraged and provided for in a built-in central furniture area that also becomes a privacy screen. Several seating options allow for a variety of visiting, dining, and activity areas for each resident.
